Welcome 4th Grade Parents!

My name is Heather Prince and I am blessed to continue my teaching career at Hephatha Lutheran. I could not be more excited to be your student's 4th grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I am going into my 7th year teaching and I'm ready to make it the best one yet! I am excited to learn and grow with you and your student. I know that with hard work, kindness and GRIT we can accomplish anything we set our minds to!

I grew up in Orange, CA with my mom and 3 siblings. I was raised in the Lutheran Church, and attended local Lutheran school until the 6th grade. From there I attended the local public schools. I graduated from Concordia University Irvine in 2013, where I received my degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Lutheran Education.

My first 4 years of teaching were in Anchorage, Alaska. While in Alaska, I taught Jr. High, 6th grade, and a 4-8th grade cooking class. My appreciation for the outdoors, wildlife, and hiking was enhanced by living in Alaska.

I am also beyond blessed to be married to my husband, Aaron. Aaron and I recently welcomed our son, Benjamin, on March 14, 2020. We have 2 dogs, Gunner and Wiley which I'm sure you'll be hearing about quite often! 

My Prayer

I pray that this year brings your student growth in their love of God, growth in academics, and growth in friendships. My aim is to create a classroom where students feel engaged in the lessons, safe, excited to come to school each day, and supported with encouragement and help.
